Connie Tommerup

Manager of restructuring and corporate finance, ClearRidge, LLC

ClearRidge, LLC has named Connie Tommerup as manager of restructuring and corporate finance.

At ClearRidge, her primary role is analyzing clients’ financial systems, financial reporting processes and internal controls. “I analyze the client’s financial situation, identify problems and work with the ClearRidge team to create a new business plan and create financial models to project the impact of a new business model and new financial strategy,” Tommerup said.

In addition, Tommerup consults for audit firms in Oklahoma through her company, Internal Controls Specialists PLLC. “Connie’s relationships through ICS are a great benefit to us, said Matthew Bristow, ClearRidge managing director. “As a result, it makes sense for both Connie and us that she continue to consult for her audit clients, as well as her role in restructuring and corporate finance for ClearRidge.”

Tommerup most recently worked in consulting for Ehrhardt Keefe Steiner & Hottman PC, a Colorado-based accounting and business advisory firm. She also served as financial controller of the Texas Cattle Feeders Association for 12 years. She is a certified fraud examiner, and holds active CPA licenses in Oklahoma, Texas and Colorado.

A native of Montana, Tommerup’s high school was in Westby, in the northeast corner of the state. Her class consisted of 20 students. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Colorado and her MBA from West Texas A&M University, where she also taught classes.

Tommerup formerly was president of the Texas Panhandle chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs. She also served on the board for Northwest Texas Health Care System, where she received the Robert Pearson Second Mile Award.

She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Oklahoma and Colorado Society of CPAs, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Connie married her high-school sweetheart, Jeff, a petroleum engineer who serves as general manager of drilling for the eastern mid-continent for Questar Exploration and Development.

They have two children, Tiffaney and Dustin, and two grandchildren — Kolten Neil, 2, and 7-month-old Kylee.
